David S. Tabby, D.O., founded Optimum Neurology with an eye towards improving patient treatments in the area of his particular interests of multiple sclerosis and chronic migraines. He grew up in a family of medical professionals and has practiced in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania throughout his career.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Wyncote, David’s grandfather was a pharmacist, and his father was a family physician. In college, he found Neurobiology and animal behavior particularly interesting which pulled him toward his career in Neurology.
David Tabby graduated from Princeton University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at Metropolitan Parkview Hospital and a neurology residency at Jefferson University Hospital. He is licensed as a Pennsylvania Osteopathic Physician and has board certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry.
As an Associate Professor and researcher at the Drexel University College of Medicine, he published 16 peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter. He entered private practice in 2014. He has four children and two grandchildren.
Dr. Tabby has received numerous awards and recognition for his work as a teacher and a medical provider. From the Golden Apple award to being named a Top 10 teacher, he has also received Partner in Care recognition from the MS Society in Greater Philadelphia.

David Tabby, DO is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry since 1989. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He is also certified by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers since 2007.
